Latest News from Early Break….

“At Early Break we continue to work with children, young people and their families. We will support those who may identify as vulnerable and are clear in our commitments to each other and our wider stakeholders at this difficult time.

Our priority is to ensure that children, young people and families are still supported in the context of the Public Health guidelines. We also aim to dispel any fears, stigma or blame towards any particular client group and will maintain our focus on working to the latest government facts and procedures.

With this in mind, with full effect from the end of this week, Early Break will be offering a virtual service across our footprint. Staff will have an online/telephone presence in our usual working hours.

If you are a client in Early Break, you will receive a telephone call from your worker who will talk you through what you might expect from us over the coming weeks. It is unlikely you will have face-to-face appointments at this stage, but it is likely that your worker will be in touch with you more frequently by telephone. Workers will be providing written reports to any multi agency meetings and extensive virtual communications.

If you are not a client, but wish to get in touch with Early Break, please email us at (clearly indicating who the message is for in the subject box). This email address will be regularly checked within the day and colleagues notified. Our aim is to maintain contact with our interdependent organisations to ensure we collectively do what is best for children, young people and families.

We do recognise that our clients may potentially feel increased anxiety and insecurities at this time as we adapt to external changes in guidelines, but we will offer our reassurance and support where possible. Operationally, we are working hard to ensure we identify and prioritise the risks associated with our services ongoing. As always our work with clients at the forefront of all planning.”
