Stressed Out Brain Training

The ‘Stressed Out Brain’ training showcases a trauma-informed resource to support young people through the trials and tribulations of adolescence. The resource stemmed from a piece of research from Edge Hill University and was later commissioned by Salford City Council’s Violence Reduction Unit to raise awareness about the teenage brain, the impact of trauma, substance misuse and its links to youth violence and mental health. From this, an animation and resource workbook were co-produced with young people. The ‘Stressed Out Brain’ workbook and animation were designed to support professionals and volunteers to have informed conversations and offer interventions around the topics that can have a significant impact during adolescence.
