Sexual Health/Substance Use Service
We have partnered with fellow specialists, HCRG Care Group and The Proud Trust to offer a combined sexual health/substance misuse service in Oldham for young people 13 – 19 years old (up to 25 years old if there is a special educational need and/or Looked After Child status).

Who we are
Early Break registered as a charity in 1994 and was one of the first national young people specific substance services. We are driven by the ‘Voice of the Child’ at every level in service and operate across 6 areas of Greater Manchester. We are holders of a plethora of Awards and Standards and are embedded in the communities we support and are a trusted, professional local brand. HCRG Care Group
HCRG Care Group is at the forefront of delivering truly integrated sexual health care and currently deliver sexual health care in 11 local authority areas. Our services were amongst the first to deliver enhanced postal and express STI testing and we continue to develop tools to make sexual health care more accessible such as app advice & booking, online condom distribution.
C Card scheme is aimed at young people between 13 and 24 years old who can register to get a range of free condoms, femidoms, lubes, dams, information and advice. The aim of this service is to promote reproductive health, sexual health and help young people to access local services. The Proud Trust
The Proud Trust is a life saving and life enhancing organisation that helps LGBT+ young people across Greater Manchester empower themselves, to make a positive change for themselves and their communities. They do this through youth groups, coordinating national and regional LGBT+ youth work networks, managing the LGBT+ Centre for Manchester, delivering of training, running events and campaigns, undertaking research and creating resources.
As part of our Oldham offer, we will be offering some ‘Trans Navigator’ support. ‘Trans’ is an umbrella term used to describe someone whose gender identity does not align or “match’” with the sex and gender role they were assigned at birth by society. The Trans information section of The Proud Trust website will help give you more indepth information. You can also call for help and advice on all aspects of sexuality on 0161 660 3347 (9am-5.30pm daily, plus emergency calls on weekends) or email firstname.lastname@example.org
