Hidden Harm Training - Rochdale

This one day in person training course is open to professionals to develop trauma responsive approaches when working with hidden harm, such as parental substance use and co-occurring conditions e.g. mental health conditions and parental conflict. The day is a mix of classroom learning and activity-based learning.

Topics that will be covered include:

  • What is good parenting,

  • Working with executive functioning,

  • Adverse childhood experiences,

  • Substances in pregnancy

  • How the voice of the child is pivotal to working with and responding to hidden harm in families.

The training is also localised by Local Child Safeguarding Practice Reviews and exploring and understanding responses to working with parental substance use to effect long term positive change.
