Support in Bury

What is RISE?

We believe in building Resilience through Information, Support and Empowerment; that’s what R.I.S.E stands for.

RISE is Early Break’s free emotional wellbeing drop-in service for children and young people aged 5 to 17 who are registered with a GP in Bury.

If you’re feeling anxious, low, angry, overwhelmed, or just need someone to talk to, we’re here for you. You don’t need a referral or appointment, just come along to a drop-in day or get in touch.

I felt more comfortable speaking to someone in person. RISE made it feel easy to open up.
— Young Person, Age 12

What Young People Say

It’s not like school or a doctor’s appointment. I felt listened to, not judged. I learned how to talk about stuff I used to bottle up.
— Young Person, Age 14
It really helped to know I wasn’t the only one struggling. The group sessions made me feel less alone.
