Feeling overwhelmed, anxious, or unsure how to cope? If you're aged 5 to 19 and live in Rochdale, #Thrive is here to help.
Delivered in partnership with the NHS and local services, #Thrive supports children and young people through low-level emotional health concerns such as low mood, anxiety, emotional regulation issues, or self-esteem challenges.
All referrals to Early Break’s #Thrive services are made directly through the #Thrive team. If they feel our approach is the right fit, they will connect you with one of our friendly practitioners for 6–8 sessions of tailored support.
You can be seen in schools, community venues, or other settings that work for you.
We offer emotional wellbeing sessions and counselling options through our experienced Early Break team members.
Who is it for
Young people aged 5–18
Living in Rochdale or the surrounding areas
We support young people who may be experiencing the following:
Anxiety / Stress
Low Mood / Suicidal ideation (no intention to act)
Negative Thoughts / Emotional Dysregulation
Interpersonal Relationships
Self-care / Low self-esteem
Sadness / Anger / Fear
History of self-harm / ongoing self-harm (adhering to safety plan)
You can refer by:
Calling the #Thrive team directly: 0161 716 2844
Speaking to your GP, school nurse, health professional, or social care worker, who can make a referral for you
Once your referral is received, the #Thrive team will talk with you about your current challenges and help identify the best service to support you.
If you're based in Rochdale and your needs align with Early Break’s expertise, you may be referred to our team of emotional health practitioners or person-centred counsellors.
We’ll then contact you to arrange up to 6–8 sessions in a location that suits you; this could be at school, in the community, or another safe, local setting.
We’ll work with you on what matters most, whether it’s managing anxiety, building confidence, or finding ways to feel more in control.
If you or someone you know is aged 5–19 and struggling with low-level emotional wellbeing, you can access #Thrive through self-referral or by speaking to a professional.

No. All referrals must be made directly to the #Thrive team, whether you are referring yourself or a professional or GP. The team will assess and route you to the most appropriate service, including Early Break, if suitable.
